How do I figure out what my dog is allergic to?
Single-protein treats are a common starting point for an elimination diet, but figuring out the actual trigger takes time and, ideally, your vet. We make treats, not diagnoses — if you suspect a real allergy, loop your vet in before you go all in on any one food.
Why is there no chicken on this page?
Chicken is one of the most commonly reported food allergens in dogs, so we kept it off this list entirely — even our single-ingredient Chicken Strips. If chicken specifically is what you're avoiding, our chicken-free guide has the full lineup.
Are single-ingredient treats less tasty?
Not from what we've seen at the counter. Cod Skins are one of our best-sellers, allergies or not — turns out "just cod" is still a very good smell to a dog.
Are these treats grain-free?
Yes — there's nothing in a single-ingredient fish treat to be grain-free of. It's just fish.
