Sweet Summertime! What's better than spending the summer with your furry friends while doing all of the things you love most? To make it easy, we’ve compiled a Dog-Friendly Summer Bucket List of our must-try places in New England, including outdoor activities, restaurants, breweries and more! 

 

75 Liberty Wharf 

 

75 Liberty is a modern New England restaurant right on the harbor in Seaport Boston that recently introduced some of our very own treats onto their menu. This pup-friendly dining not only has the best food and views but the pups will love their treats too! @75onlibertywharf 

 

Paws on Pelham 

 

This dog friendly Inn is not only friendly for dogs, but it is made for dogs and dog lovers. Paws on Pelham is perfect if you love to travel with your dog! This Inn is located in Newport, Rhode Island which is walking distance to many historical sites and the Newport Cliff Walk which is also dog friendly! @pawspelham

 

Provincetown 

 

Provincetown is one of the most dog friendly areas in all of the country! Take the ferry from Boston to P-Town with your pup then enjoy the day walking around town on Commercial Street, grabbing a bite to eat, enjoying the sunshine at the pup-friendly Cove Town Beach, and playing fetch and eating treats at the Pilgrim Bark Park!

 

Park-9 Dog Bar

  

Located in Everett MA, Park-9 is New England’s first ever indoor dog park & bar! Want to go out with friends but also want to bring your dog? Park-9 Dog Bar is the perfect place! They have a variety of tasty treats for pups and even doggy beer options! Order a Polkadog seafood flight, featuring our Cod Skins, Salmon Says and Clam Chowda! Breweries

 

We love breweries in the warm New England weather. Many of our doggy friends are now allowed to some of our favorite breweries due to the new regulation of outside dining. Some of our favorites to try out are Tree House, Redemption Rock Brewing, Cisco Brewers, Night Shift, and Trillium Brewing! 

 

SoWa Open Market

 

Located in the South End of Boston, SoWa is a farmers market open every Sunday from 11am-4pm in May-October. Purchase produce, jewelry, clothing, have a bite to eat, enjoy the music and so much more.. all with your pup by your side! @sowaboston

 

 Dog Friendly Hikes/Parks Near Boston

 

There's nothing like exercising with your pup in the sunny weather. There are countless places to take your dog out for a walk around New England. Some that we think are worth the walk are Deer Island HarborWalk, Manchester by the Sea, RUFF North End Dog Parkand Blue Hills Reservation.  

 

The Raw Bar at Island Creek Oyster Farm 

 

Island Creek Oyster Farm is the place to be if you like oysters, wine, cocktails, good vibes, and views as close as they can get to the water. This pop-up in Duxbury is definitely something to add to your summer bucket list!  Pics: Emily Hagen


New England Hiking Trails 

 

If you and your pup love the great outdoors, you're in for a treat! New England has some of our favorite spots to hike with our pups and enjoy a beautiful view! Bald Mountain, Mount Willard, Diana’s Bath, Franconia Falls, and Lake Massabesic Trail are all located in New Hampshire. If you’re up for a more difficult, longer hike, the 9.8 mile hike in Cutler Coast Trail in Cutler, Maine is the one for you!

 

Terramor Outdoor Resort 

 

If you’re feeling adventurous, want a night away and luxury camping sounds like something you’d be interested in, this place is a must-try! Terramor Outdoor Resort is located in Bar Harbor, Maine and includes several amenities such as a pool, hot tub, spa, hiking nearby and of course, your furry friends are always welcome. @terramorresort    

 

Polkadog Bakery 

 

Shameless Plug! All good pups deserve a trip to Polkadog Bakery. We have locations in Lynnfield, Dedham, South End, North End, Seaport, Chestnut Hill, Jamaica Plain, and Hingham, with something for every dog to love! It’ll be like Christmas in July. 

 

Trip to Mystic CT

 

A day trip is always a good idea! Head over to Mystic, CT for a day of good eats, drinks, shopping, and exploring. Walk along Historic Downtown, stop along Olde Mistick Village to visit the unique collection of specialty shops, stroll the riverside grounds of Mystic Seaport Museum and end the day with pup-friendly dining at Dog-Watch Mystic@dogwatchmystic
