Day in our Life with Charlie McAvoy at MSPCA!

Giving back to the community is so important to us, and it’s one of our favorite things that we’re lucky enough to do so frequently. Last week, we loaded up our delivery van with wet and dry food for dogs and cats (and lots & lots of Polkadog treats of course) and hit the road to MSPCA in Jamaica Plain, Boston.

What made this donation extra special was that Charlie McAvoy from the Boston Bruins joined us! We kicked off our partnership with Charlie and his dog Otto last year when we worked together to launch Otto McAvoy’s very own super-powered dog treat, Rocket Fuel. After a successful launch and a few meet and greets at the Polkadog store we thought… what next?!

We knew Charlie shared some of the same values as us, so we invited him to spend the day with us at MSPCA. Making a donation to the shelter animals and playing with dogs all afternoon? It didn’t take much convincing.

Most of the items we were able to donate came from our Community Pet Pantry that was located inside of our Canton Warehouse over the holidays. With the help from our local community, we had so much leftover dog and cat food that we didn’t know what to do with it! That’s when MSPCA came to mind.

It’s because of you, our customers and community, that we’re able to do great things like this, so if you donated to our pet pantry, shared our post, bought something on our website, or shopped at one of our stores - thank you, thank you, THANK YOU.
