Animal Rescue League Grand Re-opening in Dedham!

This past weekend was the grand re-opening of the Animal Rescue League’s newly renovated Dedham Animal Care and Adoption Center. Needless to say, the turnout was stupendous and the new space is simply magnificent.

Credit the ARL for doing this thing the right way: from the animal facilities to the new food prep area to the medical rooms to the green roof that will help not only keep the people and furry ones inside cool during the summer and cozy during the winter, but also help keep operational costs down so the ARL can focus their resources on the most important work: caring for and adopting out animals.

The dog area is especially fantastic, with indoor/outdoor rooms housing sweet-as-pie potential adoptees with the added bonus of a great fenced in outdoor run to keep dogs satisfactorily exercised and socialized while they wait for their forever homes.

Even though we love dogs here at Polka Dog Bakery, we also had the chance to see some miniature ponies, a piggie, some beautiful cats, a ginormous corn snake, and this bunch of American bulldog puppies that had applications for adoptions numbering in the uncountable.

Thanks ARL for making this commitment to the future of Animal Welfare. We’re honored to be affiliated with such an amazing organization staffed by such amazingly compassionate and talented people.
